MEET THE STORYCAMP TEAM
Katrina Pratt
(Miss Kat)
Co-founder/ Director
Zoey Crandell
Assistant Director/ Lead Teacher
Katrina has been dancing and weaving stories for as long as she can remember; performing for the rocks and trees as a small child and eventually joining the circus in New York, building giant puppets and swinging from theater rafters above the audience. She has been working with children for more than 20 years, incorporating storytelling, movement and puppetry into educational therapy and alternative forms of teaching. She is currently pursuing her master's degree at the University of New Hampshire in Education and Human Development.

She graduated from the University of Colorado with a B.A. in Anthropology, focusing on birth and child development across cultures. Her interest in evolutionary biology, social dynamics, and the relationship between play and learning informs the way she shapes curriculum. Stories are a huge part of this as they encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and a sense of wonder. She lives between Colorado and New Hampshire exploring with her husband and two children, dancing in trees, making puppets, and honing her archery skills.
Zoey has worked with children for over a decade. Her experience ranges from lifeguard and swim instructor in her earlier years to nannying and teaching an outdoor enrichment program most recently.

Zoey’s passion is the imagination. Whether through collaboration or a personal adventure, she believes that the imagination can be a playful yet powerful tool in discovering our truth and in turn our next steps. You can often find Zoey exploring her imagination in meditation, observing the natural world around her or relishing in the connection of community.
From camper to teacher Alex has been with Storycamp for a decade! Alex has grown up cherishing the transdisciplinary experience that is Storycamp. She enjoys camp time exploring nature, swinging from trees and creating stories that bring us into alternate dimensions. Now a senior in High school, she plans to study restoration ecology in the fall.
