It is with mixed emotions that we write to share some important news about Storycamp. After a thoughtful review of insurance coverage and a risk-benefit analysis, the school’s Board of Trustees has decided that the risk of hosting a circus camp like ours is too high. As a result, Storycamp will no longer be held at the school.

While we are deeply saddened by the end of this chapter after ten wonderful years, we are filled with gratitude for all the families and children who made Storycamp so magical. Your laughter, creativity, and energy brought the camp to life each summer, and it has been an honor to share these moments with you.

The good news is that this isn’t the end of the journey—it’s the beginning of an exciting new chapter! We are thrilled to announce Circus Curious, an expanded program that will take the heart and soul of Storycamp to new heights. While we will primarily focus on expanding programming in New Hampshire, we also hope to create workshops and camp opportunities in Colorado. This community means so much to us, and we’re committed to finding ways to stay connected and serve the incredible families we’ve come to cherish.

Circus Curious will include camps for kids, workshops for adults, teacher trainings, and of course, the same story-driven, child-led magic you’ve come to know and love. Our mission remains the same: to bring play into education, create opportunities for creativity and collaboration, and empower children to take healthy risks and find their voice.

As we look ahead, we also want to take a moment to celebrate the past. We are considering hosting a Goodbye Storycamp Party this summer to honor the incredible memories we’ve built together. It would be a chance to share stories, laughter, and maybe even a few circus tricks one last time. We will share more details soon if this comes together!

So, here’s to the circus. Here’s to the magic and healing power of play. Here’s to dreaming big, taking bold leaps, and evolving together. We are honored to have shared these years with you and are excited about the road ahead.
